here's the deal, yo...
i took a little road trip this weekend...or more appropriately WE took a little road trip this weekend. got up first thing saturday morning, and headed east. then north. no agenda. no time frames. no schedule. nada. couple o' road trip cds, a map, and off we went. stopped along the way at one of those dumpy looking good food makin "diner"s --and had the worst eggs you ever did taste. it didn't really matter though. we ended up in this little woodsy state park. a cabin with character, and all the pine trees you could look at. there were a few lamps with 40 watt bulbs, and 2 twin beds. i'm tellin ya, it was rustic. we were so excited at the thought of getting out of town, i don't think either of us had more than 3 hours sleep the night before. no tv. golden silence. we were out by 10 pm. it poured all night, and the sound of the rain kept us lulled till morning.
i saw a live armadillo (only the 2nd one in my history) he was just a baby...on the way out of town, we saw him again. on his back, feet up! oh well, the circle of life continues. we drove by bo pilgrim's house...you know, the chicken guy. dude! 's a mansion on the outskirts of an otherwise shitty town. and just up the highway is the biggest pilgrim cranium you've ever seen! a virtual planetoid! no kidding, there's a 50 ft head of mr pilgrim himself. course i had to have my picture with that!
my driver was this hot lanky guy, who i've known now, for a couple years. our paths have somehow kept crossing, and until now, the timing just hasn't been right. i could gush on about him, but i'd feel like a retard, because i know he reads this sometimes. i don't know how he feels about purple mascara, but he was opposed to me going to cuba, so i'm going to my rich uncle's instead (after honduras) he's been sick for the past couple days, so i've been busy doctoring. movie (team america---hilarious!!) and xbox watching, sprite refills and tylenol...temperature taking and all the other stuff that goes along with sick. tomorrow if he's not better, we're gonna start doin things my way...i know he's praying for health, because he thinks my way is gay...it works for me, though. I'M not sick!
anyway, that's what i've been doing.
sorry for slacking.
funny, though, when i had a billion things to do, and places to go, i made more time for blogging.
i really have a good life.
